808Talk Episode #3 – Miss Hawaii Crowned…

Our show today was back to being hosted by the both of us, (V.Brown a.k.a. 808Rider & J. “BigDaddy” Plummer), since our MIA co-host is now back in action. This past week a new Miss Hawaii was crowned (Malika Dudley) and a report published by Allstate Insurance showed Hawaii’s ranking as #125 in the worst and best drivers of America. Coming up soon on July 3, 2005 will be the 3rd Annual Choppers Only Hawaii Bike Show featuring many celebs in the biker world. On Wednesday June 8, 2005 Peter Kay, Burt Lum, Roxanne Darling, and Ryan Ozawa hosted a forum on “Blogging and Podcasting with the IABC”. 808Talk is now listed under the Hawaii Podcasters link on the Hawaii Association of Podcasters (Mahalo to Ryan). 1. Great show, guys. And thanks for the mention!

Like the bumper sticker says, “SLOW DOWN! This ain’t the mainland.” I think Hawaii suffers from having drivers that are too aggressive (Mainland/military types) and drivers that are too nice in the same place. Then again, sometimes showing aloha isn’t the most efficient way to run a transportation system. Ever drive through Waimanalo? I love that everyone stops to let folks go, in either direction. Makes for gridlock, but hey, shakas all around!

Minor request for next time? Crank up the volume! Want to hear you guys loud and clear.

  2. Hey Ryan, Much Mahalos.
Yeah I know what you mean about driving over in Waimanalo… I am glad it is shakas instead of the finger cause I tell you around the bases that thing be flying all over… Anyways thanks for the comment and looking forward to more.
Yeah we are working on the whole volume thing.
    Much Mahalos,

  3. Ryan,

Once again thanks for the support and listening in to 808Talk. We are still in the early development of getting the show all smoothed out, but we will definately crank it up a little more and improve the sound quality as we progress on.
