808Talk Episode #6 – Happy 4th Of July
What a beautiful 4th of July weekend, but yet a difficult show to make. As predicted in last week’s show, it was very difficult to do this 4th of July weekend show. You notice that once again I was solo, but yet I wasn’t really there myself because actually I just returned home at 6am this morning after being out all night and shutting down the Zanzabar Nightclub. Anyway I managed to still produce the show and talk about some of the July 4th events going on here in Hawaii, along with some local news about raised questions of why Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard was not listed on the base closure report. Another bit of news was the report of the fireworks in space being put on by NASA. Our featured musician today was the awesome Guy Cruz who is definately one of my favorite local musicians here in Hawaii. Also in the news this past week was the release of Apple’s iTunes 4.9 which features an integration of PodCasting and remember a few weeks ago we talked about the Hawaii Podcasters Association meetup and the interview that was done by Alison of the MidWeek Newspaper, well it appeared this weekend in the MidWeek – The Weekend edition on page 11 in which there was meantion of 808Talk! So once again I pulled it off and got another PodCast out there for the world to hear. Have a great July 4th weekend and remember those who are still protecting the freedom we enjoy.
