808Talk Episode #9 - Sony Japan Auditions
We kicked off our show today with some new intro music which I hope will come across good to all you out there that listen. Our featured music today was a song called “Intuition” by Breakwater. We hit on the auditions that Sony Japan will be doing in Hawaii to find R&B, Hip-Hop and Reggae artists to promote and help create their very own album. In Hawaii news we talked about the Pearl Shipyard Closure which is not going to happen and the Akaka Bill being stalled again on the Senate floor. Big news this week is that Best Buy will open their first store on Oahu which has been long awaited for and the other big news is about the K-1 World Grand Prix martial arts event which will be held at the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. In other news get set for some Island Hunnies action at Panama Hatties in Aiea, Hawaii on the night of August 25th when they will have their new website release party and the kick-off for the Street Car Showoff which is in Honolulu that weekend. We are also asking for all our listeners to send us an email just briefly telling us where you listen from in your part of the world. Finally our podcast plugs for the week are the new Somerset Chat podcast, which 808Talk helped to get off the ground, and the HawaiiDiner.com podcast hosted by Gail which details menu reviews in Hawaii. Once again my co-host and myself would like to say thank you to all who continue to promote and sponsor our project at 808Talk. Have a great week and we hope to bring you another great show next weekend and maybe even some surprise announcements!
