808Talk Episode #17 – South Shore Surf Hits High

Today’s show featured a guest host named Gabe Tate, who filled in for BigDaddy who was absent due to some recent events in his life. We featured an amazing local artist name Amanda Frazier who is from Aiea, Hawaii right here on the Island of Oahu. In local news we talked about the ABC show “” and it’s premier of season 2. The gas prices may be falling this week in Hawaii by as much as fifty cents which will be a great relief and the surf has just been remarkable on the South shore of Oahu with peaks as high as 10-15 feet. We once again welcome our new partners ParadisePassport.com and IslandIndoor.com and thank them for the support they have been giving to us. A few local websites we discussed were HuiMusic.com and AnytimeGrinds.com which are definately worth taking a look at. In my local life news, I once again checked out the great music of Guy Cruz this weekend and in the process met the Harlem Globetrotters and a few other local musicians including Walt G. of the group Kawao. I want to thank Chris for the great comments in his email and I would also like to thank Mark for introducing us to Amanda Frazier and I want to thank Amanda for allowing us to feature her today on . Until next weekend we wish all our listener’s a great and safe week and hope you’ll tune in next weekend and introduce to all your friends.
