808Talk Episode #27 - Trains And SPAM
Starting off the show with a message from Jim who has been away for a while, we jump into some local news. First up is news of a power outage that affected the tourist area here on Oahu and then we move on to the news of the Hawaii Restaurant of The Year 2005. Everyone here in the islands is still buzzin’ about the great upset Hawaii gave to Michigan State last week and the former HPD Chief says some words of mercy to help in the case against the man who ran him over nearly a year ago. Music featured today was from The Omega Project Kauai who’s sounds are absolutely amazing. Discussion today was on the few trains that still exist and those that once were here in the Hawaiian Islands. Food on the menu was the infamous SPAM whose love has flourished throughout Hawaii making it the largest consumer per capita in the United States. Our closing shoutouts got to PodcastPUP, HawaiiUP, DoctorTrey.com and LOST - The Transmission. We would like to thank all who have contributed to our great standings this month at PodCastAlley and hope you will remember to stop by this week as we enter a new month and cast a vote once again. From your friends here at 808Talk we wish you a great week and a joyful beginning to the 2005 Holiday Season! Aloha.

Hey, V. Brown, Reiko and J. Plummer! Sweet show as always. I’m still trying to get my wife to give Spam a chance.
Thanks so much for the mentions of both HawaiiUP and The Transmission! We’ve really got to produce a nice “This Podcast is a Proud Member of the Hawaii Association of Podcaster” signature to tack onto our shows and promote all the local folks.
Hey from a Hilo, Hawaii girl (san-sei-han) now living in California!
