U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka of Hawaii, the man after which the proposed Akaka Bill for Native Hawaiians was named, is going to be challenged in the upcoming election by U.S. Rep. Ed Case of Hawaii for his seat that he has held for numerous years. We discuss the disappointment that Akaka and the Democrats of Hawaii share in this challenge announced by Case.
