808Talk Episode #45 - Rain And Rainforests
Well I am back in the islands and experiencing the heavy rains taking place here in Hawaii. Although the rain may cause many problems, it is also our primary source of drinking water and that is one good way to look at the abundance of rain we have received. Learn about the rainforest zoo in Hilo and take a rainforest hike on Oahu. All that and more in today’s podcast from Honolulu. As always, remember we love to hear from our wonderful 808Talk listeners so be sure and leave us a comment.

vern,
I’m enjoying some vaction time in the great state of Texas, and the weather here has been great. I have going online and seeing all the rain that is still pounding the island including recently with the flooding at kahala mall. I’m little surprised, but not really, to see the local government is doing little if anything in planning for future flooding, i.e something far worse like a hurrricane. The islands are long overdue for another hurricane, what is the local government doing to prepare for a catastrophe?
Hey VB! Great Show! I’m pretty new to the Hawaiian Music Scene, so thanks for introducing me to Darin Leong’s Music! I hope you’re staying dry and nothing is getting too out of hand over there! Best of Luck and Keep up the great work!
