808Talk Episode #56 - NW Hawaiian Islands
With the establishment of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands National Monument this past week, we decided to focus on this event in the show today to bring awareness to the world as to why this was necessary for the present and future of Hawaii. See the beauty of the NW Hawaiian Islands in the book titled Archipelago or watch Voyage To Kure by Jean-Michel Cousteau. Other news and great music are also featured today. As always, remember we love to hear from our wonderful 808Talk listeners so be sure and leave us a comment.

Hey V,
Thanks for another great show. It’s amazing to hear from so many people about how our presdient doesn’t care anything about protecting our environment, but here he is signing into effect one of the most sweeping environmental protection plans in decades. Well done President Bush and congratulations to all who will benefit from this truly historic event.
