Are we dreamers or can we just go to Oahu without any hotel reservations. We love to just drive and end up where we end up. Thanks, Sally
Sally, it is possible at certain times of the year to get a room without a reservation because the occupancy rate is higher. For example in the fall and winter months it is usually possible because it is out of season for normal tourist. If you plan to try this, you should be aware that you may not always get the best room or a room in a better hotel. If you have any additional questions regarding this you can contact our great friends over at Hawaii Aloha Travel who would be more than happy to help you plan a trip or answer any of your questions. Mahalo for the comment and we hope you can take a trip and experience our wonderful islands.
I just have to say, that as a long time listener of 808talk, I really have grown to love the 808talk.tv videos. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of Oahu, I’m a Maui fan, first. However, the videos that you have taken of various locations around Oahu, away from Waikiki (or as I call it “little south Florida” because of the high rises). When I get back to the islands again, I will seriously consider trying to visit Oahu and get away from the “tourist” area of Waikiki. Of course, I’ll still always love Maui first, it’s the reason my car’s Virginia Parrothead license plate is personalized Maui.
Keep up the great work.
