Aloha VB!
Not “Romantic cruise” related, but the subject remind me of the many times my wife and I would always stop for a quiet brunch at Fishermans Wharf restaurant at Kewalo Basin as a “first thing to do” when we always landed in Honolulu to start vacation. We’d sit, have a sandwich and a few drinks, watch the tour boats at the dock, and think how lucky people are to live in such a wonderful, beautiful, and serene place. There are classier restaurants on the Isle, but for some reason this place was always a cozy place for the two of us.
We have not been able to visit the islands since early 2001, and too bad we have learned that it is/was slated to be razed for re-development.

Aloha Ed! Yes it is sad that Fishermans Wharf is now going to be a part of the new re-development in the area. However many are still fighting the whole plan and we’ll see if Fishermans Wharf is spared. It is sort of a landmark here on Oahu and will be sad to many if it is demolished. I recently became more attracted to it because upstairs they now have a Jazz club which is very cool. Only time will tell what will happen. Thanks for the comment and hope you can make it back to Hawaii again.
Aloha,
V
Yes, it is too bad that Fisherman’s Wharf is going to eventually be taken over by new development. We can only hope that the final outcome will be a revitalized area that benefits everyone. Overall, Kewalo Basin has been rather run down for quite a while.
