Hey Vern, haven’t listened to the show yet but watched the 808tv version a couple days about regarding the Wyland, while it’s amazingly beatiful. I’m not sure if i’d choose to stay there. To me it’s got to much of a Starbucks feel, not Hawaii enough.. It’s almost too posh for me personally.
There’s a certain ruggedness to Hawaii that isn’t really on display there.
But that’s just my personal taste I guess. I see it attracting visitors more interested in the beach and waikiki then to tour the entire Island and get a taste of the bigger picture of Hawaii.
I love Oahu, but if I were to stay there again. I’d probably rent a condo near Kaneohe’
Speaking of where to stay. Are there any places for tourists to come and camp out on the beach? That’d be amazing to me. I don’t think i’ve heard much about camping in Hawaii on 808Talk in the past.
