Honolulu High Capacity Transit System
The Honolulu High Capacity Transit campaign is underway to bring a solution to the traffic congestion on the island of Oahu. Last month the transit panel decided on steel wheel technology for the Honolulu rail system. Panel members said steel wheel on steel rail was the best out of four technology possibilities for Honolulu primarily because of its reliability as demonstrated on other systems throughout the country. Currently open public discussions are being held, notices in the local newspapers are being published and radio and television spots are being aired to bring awareness and obtain feedback from the public. There is now a website setup by the City and County of Honolulu which serves to answer questions and document the progress of the project.

I think it’d be odd seeing a Rail system in Honolulu but if it takes more cars off the road that’s a great thing.
Great site design and good show!
