808T E.133 – Hawaiian Style Obama Mania And Podcamp Hawaii
Barack Obama has a big fan base in Hawaii and he should have considering he was born in the Aloha State. He also amazingly has a large following in Japan in at least one city that shares the same name; Obama, Japan. For those who have not had the pleasure of checking out the Hawaii Souljah, Joshua Alo, you just missed your chance in Hawaii as his last performance concluded this past Friday as he sets sight for Europe. A give away of the “Lil’ Aloha Babies Waves ‘n Wonders” DVD by Local Girl Productions is announced, new music from Alison Chu off her newest CD “Kuhio Bay” is featured in todays show and the first mention of Podcamp Hawaii is also discussed with more to follow. As always, remember we love to hear from our wonderful 808Talk listeners so be sure and leave us a comment below.

Hi,
I just finished listing to the Podcast, and was trying to find Allison Chu’s CD and have no idea where to get a copy. Can you please steer me in the right direction?
Thanks a bunch and keep up the fantastic work!

Great show Vernon! The Rail system needs to be added and only the rich folks that dont have to sit in traffic are against it!! Anyone that lives on the west side or in central Oahu wants it!! GO RAIL!!!

@Rebecca: I’m getting the info on where to purchase the CD. I’ll post it as soon as it’s available.
@Roxanne: Thanks for stopping by! I’m down to help on one of the Podcamp Hawaii committees. Just let me know what I can do and I’m there. Also I added the tag podcamphawaii2008
@ET: Rail can be good and bad. Like I said I lived through the implementation in St. Louis so seen a before and after. In St. Louis it has turned out to have done more good than bad so it could work. Oh hey are you coming to Podcamp Hawaii 2008? You BETTER BE THERE!!!!
