“Postcards and other ephemera from the last decade of the Territorial Era that ended when Hawaii became the 50th state on August 21, 1959.
The idea behind this collection is to show what island life was like during that last magical moment in time when Hawaii was still one of the remotest places on earth. I grew up in Honolulu during the 1950s and 60s and treasure the memories of that time and place.“
