“Kaʻena or Kaena Point is the westernmost tip of land on the island of Oʻahu. The point can be reached by foot from both the West (Waiʻanae Coast) and the East (Mokulēʻia) coastlines; walking in from the north side is recommended. An unimproved track extends some 3 miles (4.8 km) along the coast from the end of the paved road on the north side, where a gate prevents entry of all except authorized vehicles.“

“Mauna Kea is an inactive volcano in the U.S. state of Hawaii, one of five volcanoes which together form the island of Hawaii. Mauna Kea, according to some etymologists is a contraction of Mauna-o-Wakea, meaning in English, “Mountain of the deity Wakea.” The modern form, “Mauna Kea,” means “white mountain” in the Hawaiian language, a reference to its summit being regularly covered by snow in winter.“

“Ahupuaʻa O Kahana State Park, formerly Kahana Valley State Park, is located on the windward side of Oʻahu between Kāneʻohe and Lāʻie. It is Hawaii’s only public ahupuaʻa, and it stretches from the sea to the tip of Puʻu Pauao at 2670 feet. It has a tropical climate, and it is one of the wettest areas in Oʻahu, averaging nearly 300 inches per year in parts of the valley. The main purpose of the park is to embrace and teach Hawaiian culture.“

Friday December 4th was the first ever Hawaii Twoliday held at Oceans 808 nightclub in Restaurant Row. It was a get together of Hawaii Twitters’ as well as non-Twitters’ in an attempt to create new and maintain existing connections throughout the busy holiday season. A night to come together for good times, great laughs and networking with the new and old. Visitors included people from all over Hawaii and some from as far away as California and Chicago. It was a night filled with unexpected surprises including a drop in by both the Governor and Lt. Governor of Hawaii who were celebrating an event at the same venue.

Even with nearly 100 people in attendance this year, we promise that next year is going to be bigger and better with a combination of both Hawaii Twitter friends and Hawaii Facebook friends.

“The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (also Punchbowl National Cemetery) is a cemetery located in Honolulu, Hawaii that serves a memorial to those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces. It is administered by the National Cemetery Administration of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thousands of visitors visit the cemetery each year, and it is one of the more popular tourist attractions in Hawaii.“
